Job description
JOB SUMMARY (State in short sentences why the job exists)
Support the China IT Director in leading and coordinating IT operations, governance, and digital initiatives across all China sites, ensuring reliable service delivery, strong cybersecurity posture, and alignment with Group IT strategy.
Act as the operational leader for day-to-day IT management and ensure continuity of leadership in the Director's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy Execution
• Support the deployment of Group IT strategy and governance within the China perimeter.
• Translate strategic objectives into operational roadmaps and actionable initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between local IT priorities and global standards.
- IT Operations & Service Management
• Coordinate daily IT operations including infrastructure, networks, service desk, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT service delivery across all China sites.
• Drive improvements in IT service management practices (ITSM) including incident, request, change, and problem management.
- Team Leadership
• Manage and mentor part of the local IT teams across multiple sites.
• Develop team capabilities and promote collaboration and operational excellence.
• Act as Deputy Head of DIS(IT) in China, taking full leadership responsibility during the Director's absence.
- Project & Digital Initiative Management
• Lead or support key IT and digital transformation projects (infrastructure, cybersecurity, industrial IT, and enterprise applications).
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
• Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Group cybersecurity policies, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external IT audits, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and good practices across the organization.
- Business Partnership
• Build strong relationships with plant management and business stakeholders.
• Understand operational needs and translate them into practical IT solutions.
• Continuously improve user satisfaction and IT service perception.
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in IT/IS operations within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting enterprise and industrial systems (ERP, MES, SCADA, PLM integration preferred).
Experience working in multi-site or international IT environments.
Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills (written and spoken).
Skills and Competencies:
Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity.
Solid knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL / ITSM).
Proven experience in team leadership and multi-site IT environments.
Strong project management skills, with experience delivering complex IT projects.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
Fluent Chinese and English communication required.
