Job description

General Requirements:

• Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) hardware knowledge and experience

• Programming experience with Ladder diagram, Grafcet/SFC (Sequential function chart) modeling language, Function Block Diagrams and Structured text

• Experience in Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens and Wonderware machine interface programming (HMI)

• Knowledge of SCADA/Historian such as WinCC/Siemens and Wonderware

• Knowledge of industrial IT (OT Operation Technology)

• Experience with databases

• Experience in network configuration (communication protocols, switches, VLANs, etc.)

Responsibilities :

  1. Control Systems Development & Optimization

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using Allen Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens platforms.

• Utilize programming languages including Ladder Logic, Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagrams (FBD), and Sequential Function Charts (SFC/Grafcet).

• Design and enhance Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Siemens WinCC) to improve operational visibility and control.

• Manage industrial database operations (Historian/SCADA), ensuring efficient data structure, acquisition, and visualization for customer analysis via dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Dream Report).

  1. Industrial Networking & IT Infrastructure

• Configure and manage industrial network architectures, including switches, VLANs, and communication protocols (Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).

• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of industrial IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and cybersecurity compliance.

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues between controllers, HMIs, and higher-level systems.

  1. Project Implementation & Technical Support

• Lead or support equipment improvement, acquisition, and automation upgrade projects.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze requirements and propose best-practice solutions for automation, data acquisition, and networking.

• Perform commissioning and troubleshooting of control instrumentation (sensors, thermocouples, actuators).

• Explore emerging technologies (e.g., Industrial IoT) and facilitate knowledge sharing across departments and global sites.

  1. Vendor Management & Compliance

• Manage external vendors and contractors to ensure deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.

• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and procedures.

Job Qualifications Experience/Education requirement

Education/ Major

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation project design, implementation, and commissioning.

• Proven track record with Allen Bradley (Rockwell) and Siemens PLC ecosystems.

• Experience with CNC integration and MES systems is highly preferred.

Language

• Language: Fluent in oral and written English

Computer/Software • Microsoft software skill / WinCC

Technical Skill

• PLC Programming: Expert proficiency in Ladder Logic, Structured Text, SFC, and FBD.

• SCADA/HMI: Extensive experience with Siemens WinCC and Wonderware.

• Networking: Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA).

• Data & IT: Familiarity with industrial databases, SQL, and basic IT network administration.

• Certifications: Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or equivalent is a plus

• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
