The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader - Maintenance Fitter to lead and support our site Maintenance Fitters. In this crucial day shift position, you will ensure seamless support and coverage for our production needs, with flexibility for occasional shift cover or planned weekend overtime.

Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead & Communicate: Foster strong rapport within the team and facilitate daily changeover meetings, ensuring effective follow-up actions.

  • Operational Support: Actively participate in DMS3 meetings and provide essential support for machine breakdowns, undertaking necessary repairs promptly.

  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule preventative maintenance inspections (PMs) on plant and equipment, maintaining accurate records through SAP for shift fitters.

  • Reliability Improvement: Develop and implement new PMs to enhance equipment reliability and proactively eliminate recurring issues.

  • Process Optimisation: Recommend and drive improvements in production processes.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and promote a safe working environment through proper isolation procedures and tool usage.

  • Inventory Management: Support the management of spare parts and inventory levels.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualifications: Fitter and Turner Cert III qualified.

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within a maintenance environment.

  • Safety Focus: A strong commitment to promoting and enforcing a safe working environment.

  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated strong work ethic and a proactive approach.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, oral, and computer skills.

  • Desirable (but not essential):

  • Previous experience in the food industry.

  • Sanitary stainless steel TIG welding proficiency.
