How you will contribute
This role is a critical partner to our manufacturing team at the Suttontown site, famous for the manufacture of Philadelphia cream cheese. Leading the integrated Capability & People agenda, you will partner with the business to define and implement initiatives that drive employee engagement, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure robust training governance across the site.
As a member of the Suttontown Plant Leadership Team, you will contribute to defining and implementing the cultural and capability strategy required to enable delivery of the site’s business objectives.
Capability Lead Activities
Own and oversee the total site training governance framework, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and audit requirements
Maintain training systems, qualification matrices, competency records, and documentation integrity
Lead internal and external training audits; proactively close gaps and implement corrective actions
Standardise and continuously improve training documentation, onboarding materials, and assessment processes
Coordinate and support the development of site trainers, assessors, and subject matter experts
Act as trainer and assessor where required
Drive development and rollout of competency frameworks, learning pathways, and certification programs
Monitor training effectiveness using defined KPIs and data analytics to generate insight and continuous improvement actions
Manage and improve digital learning tools and training delivery systems to ensure usability and system integrity
Collaborate with department heads and operational leaders to identify training needs and translate them into structured learning interventions
Align local initiatives with regional and corporate L&D strategy
People Lead Activities
Drive improvement in employee engagement through structured plans and measurable actions
Build capability of people managers, frontline leaders, and site teams
Lead the site execution of the Mondelēz HR/People calendar, including:
Goal Setting Alignment and Review
Performance Calibration
Development Planning
Growing Here Week
Support talent and succession discussions at site level
Provide guidance on IR/ER policies and practices within the Australian jurisdiction, partnering with central IR/ER Manager as required
Contribute broadly to site performance as an active member of the Plant Leadership Team
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
4+ years HR / People & Culture generalist experience
Cert IV in Training & Assessment (mandatory)
Demonstrated experience in learning & development within manufacturing, FMCG or operational environments
Strong understanding of competency-based training systems and training governance frameworks
Experience managing audits and compliance requirements
Strong project management and organisational capability
Analytical mindset with ability to track and interpret training and engagement data
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
HR / Business degree or equivalent experience (advantageous)
Experience with IR/ER practices within the Australian context (advantageous)
