WALLY'S LANDSCAPE CO LLC Landscape Technician in SUSSEX, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment. Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring. Haul or spread topsoil, or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Assist with the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and paver systems. Support landscape work including planting, grading, soil preparation, mulching, and general site cleanup. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various outdoor tasks. Help with site preparation, material handling, and layout to ensure projects are completed accurately. Assist with basic equipment operation for tasks like excavation, leveling, and material movement (under supervision). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times. Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high quality standards. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and develop skills in landscape and hardscape installation. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in landscaping or construction is a plus, basic understanding of outdoor materials such as pavers, stone, soil, and plants is beneficial. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Planting, grading, soil preparation, mulching, and general site cleanup. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
