General Purpose of Job
The Finance Automation Engineer is a member of a team focused on the construction and support of automation, process optimization, and transformation solutions. This role will configure, code, test, and maintain automation solutions while contributing to broader transformation initiatives leveraging technologies such as RPA, AI, and data tools.
This role will actively contribute in a team environment by participating in solution design, development, process optimization, and continuous improvement efforts. This role requires strong communication, ownership of assigned work, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver tangible business results. You will work closely with stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, and IT to ensure system integrity, improve automation capabilities, optimize business processes, and contribute to projects that increase efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions to improve business processes
Configure automation workflows and bots based on defined business rules and requirements
Integrate automation solutions with existing systems, databases, and applications
Execute unit testing and support system testing and release activities
Identify opportunities to streamline processes using automation, AI, and data-driven solutions
Support transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and process optimization
Create and maintain documentation including process flows, procedures, and training materials
Provide support and troubleshooting for automation solutions and related processes
Identify and communicate obstacles and risks
Develop understanding of business operations and processes relevant to assigned areas
Actively support team solutions and initiatives
Participate in Agile processes and team ceremonies
Client Focus
Build rapport with business partners, product owners and subject matter experts
Provide professional, timely and dependable support to our business partners
Partner with key finance partners

Job Requirements
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, SQL, or similar)
Understanding of automation concepts, workflows, and system integrations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to document processes and drive structured improvements
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively
Growth mindset with interest in learning new technologies including AI and automation tools
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
