Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, such as saws, brake press, vacuum lifters, CNC equipment, cranes, engines, pneumatic systems, and forklifts. Your role will also involve assisting with the installation of new equipment, system modifications, and upgrades, while ensuring that all machinery and building systems operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machines and building systems.
Conduct general facility repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repairs.
Repair equipment in the maintenance shop, two manufacturing facilities, and on-site locations.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, repairs, labor hours, and materials used.
Initiate corrective and preventive solutions through proper channels.
Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC and CSA safety standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Essential Skills
Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance tech role within the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Mechanical knowledge, including tools and materials.
Experience in welding and fabrication.
Ability to lift up to 22 kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, equivalent to a high school diploma.
Reliable transportation and the ability to work overtime.
Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Hardworking, reliable, and a team player with a quick learning ability.

Work Environment
Work primarily on the AM shift with flexibility for future shifts. The schedule is a 5x8-hour format starting at 6:00 AM. The position may involve some on-site work. The team is energetic, with a supportive and fun atmosphere. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toed boots, with additional gear provided as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
