Cognizant Sr. Developer - Java Backend in Sunnyvale, California
As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality software solutions using Springboot Microservices and Commerce Full Stack Engineering - Java. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business success. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively in a day shift environment.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA - This is a Hybrid Role
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000/Year to $102,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities
Design and develop robust software applications using Springboot Microservices to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
Implement best practices in software development to enhance performance and scalability.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development.
Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability.
Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
Participate in architectural discussions to drive innovation and efficiency in software design.
Ensure software solutions are aligned with business goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications.
Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Contribute to the improvement of development processes and methodologies. Qualifications
Possess a strong proficiency in Springboot Microservices and Java for full stack development.
Demonstrate expertise in Commerce Full Stack Engineering with a focus on Java technologies.
Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development with a maximum of 10 years.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Show capability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and day shift environment.
Display strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
