Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative lab solutions, is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator - Lab Operations to join their dynamic team. As a Junior Systems Administrator - Lab Operations , you will be an integral part of the Lab Operations Department supporting the engineering and IT teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Junior Systems Administrator - Lab Operations
Location: Sunnyvale, California
Pay Rate: $45-50/hr
What's the Job?
Support lab operations by installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux and MacOS systems, servers, and networking equipment.
Perform hands-on hardware work including server deployment, BIOS configuration, and cabling.
Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline workflows and system maintenance tasks.
Maintain and troubleshoot lab network infrastructure, including TCP/IP and Wifi configurations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system security, reliability, and scalability of lab environments.
What's Needed?
Knowledge of Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Bash scripting or similar command-line tools.
Proficiency in Python or GoLang for automation and scripting tasks.
Experience setting up x64 server hardware, including BIOS and rack deployment.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and Wifi configuration.
