Amazon Hardware Development System Engineer, Hardware Product System Engineering in Sunnyvale, California

Key job responsibilities

• Integrate Innovative Technologies: Lead system-level engineering efforts, seamlessly combining multiple technological components into cohesive, high-performance products

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to develop comprehensive, innovative solutions

• Solve Complex Technical Challenges: Diagnose and resolve intricate design and manufacturing issues with precision and creativity

• Validate and Optimize Performance: Design, test, and validate system boards to ensure exceptional product quality and performance

• Support Global Engineering Initiatives: Contribute to international engineering builds and support global product development efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with prototyping and implementation

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

  • Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware

  • Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Experience in system-level integration - Audio, Power, Battery management, RF, ESD, or equivalent

  • Experience in consumer electronics or technology sector

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

  • Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions

  • Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making

  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
