Xylem is looking for a Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead and develop our Project Management team in Sundbyberg. You will be responsible for the overall PMO function, playing a key role in strengthening our project delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will combine leadership, structure, and continuous improvement to elevate both team performance and project outcomes. You will:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, fostering a supportive and empowering environment
Strengthenproject management capabilities, including the transition toward more agile and modern ways of working
Allocate project resources effectively across a broad portfolio within Product Management, Engineering, and Innovation
Oversee and manage the full project portfolio, including product development, localization, and value optimization initiatives
Drive continuous improvement of project processes, tools, and governance frameworks
Establish and evolve best practices in project and portfolio management
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between strategy, innovation, and execution
Bring fresh perspectives to roles, structures, and ways of working, helping to harmonize andoptimizethe organization
A key part of this role is people leadership - creating clarity, building confidence, and ensuring the team has the mandate, support, and recognition needed to succeed.

Qualifications
Academicdegree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent
Around 10 years of relevant experience in project and/or portfolio management
Proven leadership experience or strong leadership potential
Experience working in international and matrix organizations
Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management, and resource planning
Ability to lead change and implement improved ways of working
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
