Lyneer Staffing Solutions Material Handler in Sumner, Washington

Position Summary

The Material Handler I is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by receiving, storing, recycling, transporting, and shipping materials and products. This role ensures accurate handling of goods in compliance with customer specifications, company procedures, and safety standards. The Material Handler I plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety within the warehouse environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate RF (Radio Frequency) scanning equipment to accurately track, record, and manage inventory.
  • Receive, store, move, and prepare materials and products for shipment or recycling.
  • Disassemble, reassemble, or repair products, materials, or equipment as required.
  • Sort, bale, weigh, load, and recycle materials according to customer and operational specifications.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and fill shipping orders for multiple customers.
  • Label cartons, containers, and materials with identifying tags or information to ensure proper handling and shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations while performing assigned duties.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six (6) months of related warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, reach, push, pull, talk, and hear.
  • Ability to work shifts of at least ten (10) hours, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and management.

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to moving machinery, mechanical parts, freight trailers, containers, elevated work areas, outdoor weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and varying noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Noise levels are occasionally loud but within industry standards.
