FLC Agricultural Equipment Operator in Summitville, Indiana

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 4/1/26-11/23/26. Must agree to 50 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

 *JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. We are a grain farm in east central Indiana and farm a total of 5100 acres. Seasonal work is needed in planting, fertilizing, pesticide applications, harvesting and helping with grain facility. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach implements such as discs and implements to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth and diseases using hand sprayers, load crops and unload crops, complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Use mower to keep field borders mowed and the farmyards with lawnmower. Employees will need to operate farm trucks to haul grain from fields to storage. No commercial trucking is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season's rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

*WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: *Provided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
