Job Title: HVAC Sheet Metal Supervisor
Job Description
Supervise, coordinate, inspect, and perform the assembly, installation, and repair of HVAC sheet metal/duct components during the construction, tenant finish-out, or remodel of commercial buildings. Collaborate closely with an HVAC Superintendent and take on additional related duties as required.
Responsibilities
Prepare material take-offs and layout appropriate systems.
Create isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals, and job orders.
Participate in job planning for work packages, site set-up, and construction schedules.
Recognize and eliminate construction and job site hazards to reduce safety incidents.
Organize, supervise, lead, and train crewmembers to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
Accurately estimate hours and materials for scheduled jobs.
Submit crewmembers’ timesheets to payroll by the deadline.
Operate and supervise the operation of equipment and machinery such as forklifts, man-lifts, and power tools.
Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.
Coordinate placement and storage of materials, tools, and supplies to support the construction plan.
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Comply with and enforce all company and safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
Conduct regular tailgate safety meetings.
Attend operations meetings as required.
Train and direct the work of sheet metal Journeymen and Apprentices in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Collaborate with the HVAC Superintendent to train and coach crew members to maintain high work quality standards.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in HVAC systems and VAV.
Experience with sheet metal and duct installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of duct detectors and installation sequencing.
Experience in supervising and leading a team.
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment.
Competency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and presses.
Experience in soldering, welding, riveting, and other fastening methods.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.
Capability to maintain equipment and perform necessary repairs and modifications.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Per diem when they travel. Company vehicle.
