Description
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Windows-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, operating systems, and applications, ensuring performance, availability, and recoverability
Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IIS, RDS, file/print)
Lead server lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, virtualization, and cloud integrations
Troubleshoot escalated Tier 2/3 system and infrastructure issues
Monitor system performance, security, and capacity; recommend improvements and required hardware/software changes
Manage backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration efforts
Oversee Microsoft SQL Server environments including backups, patching, and performance tuning
Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of systems administration or infrastructure experience
Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Windows Server 2012R2–2019, SQL Server, Exchange, IIS, RDS)
Office 365 administration experience (SharePoint/OneDrive preferred)
VMware experience (ESXi 7+, HA, DRS, clustering, snapshots, virtual networking)
Patch management and PowerShell scripting experience
Solid networking fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, routing/subnetting, VPNs)
Basic cybersecurity knowledge (Sophos Central a plus); vulnerability scanning familiarity
VoIP PBX experience (SIP trunks, PoE phones, IVR, softphones)
Strong documentation and communication skills
Healthcare experience preferred
