Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and global supply chain support, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custom Material Handling Specialist to join their team. As a vital member of the Material Handling department, you will support the efficient processing, repackaging, and storage of auto parts, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to OEM requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and accuracy, aligning seamlessly with the company's values and goals.
Job Title: Custom Material Handling Specialist
Location: Suffolk, VA
Pay Rate: $20
Shift: Mon-Fri 730am to 430pm
What's the Job?
Verify and prepare incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Utilize OEM applications such as OWK and LIOS to determine load details and print specialized labels according to OEM specifications.
Handle parts by removing them from supplier packaging, placing them into customer totes, and stacking totes onto pallets for shipment.
Operate powered industrial handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely within the warehouse.
Ensure all shipments are staged, audited, and properly documented, including signing Bills of Lading and filing paperwork.
What's Needed?
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day.
Experience in material handling and operating industrial equipment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and labeling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
