Job Details:
The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily functions of the Patient Access department.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of the Patient Access Department to ensure efficient operation of the department. Schedules staff to meet departmental needs and adjusts schedules as needed when staffing issues arise. Updates time and attendance system with staff schedules and performs quarterly attendance reviews. Reviews registration data for accuracy and ensures delinquent data is provided in a timely manner. Responsible for the training and education of registrars. Monitors cash collections. Provides monthly reporting of department productivity. Addresses any complaints from patients, family members or staff. Generate reports for patient census and distributes to other departments. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of 4-5 years hospital experience in the patient access department is preferred. Supervisor or lead experience preferred
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalency required.

Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, the use of personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies pertaining to infection control.
