V2X Network Technician in Subic, Philippines
Overview
This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, cyber security, and evolution of the network environment. Provide project management at a technical level spanning multiple technologies and vendors. Assists with developing network infrastructure roadmaps, feasibility studies, and review of proposals with peer IT groups. Identify and coordinate continuous network infrastructure improvement efforts. Expert knowledge of structured cabling standards including TIA/EIA‑568, TIA‑569, TIA‑606 labeling, and BICSI best practices.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must be a Filipino Citizen
Must have a valid Philippine Driver’s License
Preferred certifications: Network+, CCNA, Fiber Optic CompTIA Technician (CFOT), or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of hands‑on experience working with network systems and structured cabling infrastructure.
Experience installing other cable pathways such as J‑hooks, ladder racks, innerducts, and wall penetrations.
Experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS
Experience implementing and maintaining ACLs/Segmentation/Security
Skills:
Ability to follow Network design, engineering and integration
Technical documentation and training
Knowledge of Cisco router and switch hardware
Dynamic routing protocols
Familiar with Project Management
Ability to manage outside service providers, consultants to accomplish defined projects
Strong organizational skills, and ability to lead network projects with minimal supervision
Strong proficiency in conduit installation, including bending, measuring, cutting, and installing EMT, RMC, and flexible conduit; pulling cable through conduits; applying proper fill ratios; and ensuring compliant routing through walls, floors, and exterior environments.
Ability to perform copper and fiber terminations using industry‑standard connectors and methods (RJ‑45, keystone jacks, LC/SC connectors, mechanical or fusion splice).
Fluent use of diagnostic tools including cable certifiers, OTDRs, VFLs, power meters, tone generators, and network cable testers.
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity
Adjustable to changing weather and environmental conditions
Physicals:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
