V2X Mechanical Engineer - Night Shift/Lead in Subic, Philippines
Overview
This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP
Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing technical and design support for mechanical systems related to facilities and infrastructure under the V2X LOGCAP V program. This role includes mechanical design, review of contractor submissions, coordination with other engineering disciplines, and ensuring that mechanical systems comply with quality, safety, and operational standards. The position supports both design and construction/installation phases to ensure optimal performance and compliance with V2X and client requirements.
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
Review contractor-submitted mechanical plans, drawings, and equipment data sheets.
Evaluate and coordinate the sub-contractor mechanical material procurement, delivery, and installation schedule vis-à-vis the project timeline.
Design and develop mechanical components such as PACUs, dehumidifiers, pumps, and appurtenances
Design and review Mechanical HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and potable water systems
Manage and evaluate the performance of mechanical contractors or subcontractors
Assist in the evaluation and billing validation of mechanical works.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines during the design and execution stages.
Monitor and update management on mechanical design and construction concerns
Will be assign on Facilities Operation and maintenance as needed and directed by the Facilities Operation and Maintenance Manager.
Respond to mechanical-related technical queries.
Ensure compliance with V2X safety standards, design codes, and client specifications.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
Must possess a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license as a Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME).
A valid Driver’s License is required for all Labor Categories in the Philippines.
Must be a Filipino Citizen.
Experience:
Experience working with a Defense Contractor is preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mechanical design & analysis
Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical drafting.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality assurance / quality control.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Google Suite / MS Office / Drafting Software
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Environment, Safety & Health
Microsoft Office 2013/2016 Suite is an advantage.
Skills:
A valid Driver’s License is required for all Labor Categories in the Philippines.
Interpretation and review of engineering drawings and technical documents.
Familiarity with design codes and load analysis standards.
Risk assessment and mechanical safety evaluation.
Technical report preparation and presentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Risk assessment and mechanical safety evaluation.
Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
Ability to provide great customer service under stressful conditions.
Able to draft, by autocad or other mechanical drafting software, his/her own design.
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity
Adjustable to changing weather and environmental conditions
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift/push/pull 25 lbs.; Work will require walking up and down stairs, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
