V2X Electrician in Subic, Philippines
Overview
This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP
Perform installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment across LOGCAP Philippines sites. Ensure reliability, safety, and full compliance with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), DOLE OSH Standards, LOGCAP program requirements, and company policies. Support preventive/corrective maintenance, energization/de ‑ energization, and emergency work with strict LOTO discipline.
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, devices, and equipment (panels, breakers, feeders, lighting, grounding, receptacles, motors, and controls).
Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) per the PM schedule/CMMS (e.g., Maximo/Infor, if applicable).
Troubleshoot and resolve faults using proper diagnostic methods and test instruments (multimeter, insulation resistance tester/megger, clamp meter, continuity testers).
Support generator interfaces, ATS/AMF panels, distribution boards, and load balancing for critical facilities.
Execute work orders, capture as ‑ built data, and complete job cards with materials/time tracking
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Senior High School Graduate or Technical/Vocational Graduate.
Required TESDA Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC-2 qualifications.
Required Aerial & Scissor Lift or Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Certification and Training
Preferred with BOSH, COSH, DOLE SO1, or SO2 qualifications
Preferred with TESDA Scaffolding Erections & Scaffolding Works NC-2 qualifications
Preferred with OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or Fire Safety qualifications
Preferred with Level 1 Thermographer qualifications and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting Annual Electrical Thermal Scanning inspections, testing, and corrective maintenance.
Must have a valid Journeyman’s Electrician License
Must be able to obtain and maintain V2X site access badge.
Must be a Filipino Citizen
Experience:
Experience working with a Defense Contractor preferred.
Candidates are essential to possess appropriate knowledge and experience in Facilities Operation and Maintenance Management.
A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Electrical Systems and Facilities, whether locally or internationally.
Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and policy regarding the operation of equipment.
Knowledge & Experience in MEP, & HVAC systems is an advantage .
Having a strong background in electrical systems and the operation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of facilities, including various electrical equipment such as distribution transformers, generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), low voltage and extra low voltage main distribution boards (MDB), sub-main distribution boards (SMDB), final distribution boards (FDBs), electrical control panels, cables/wirings, lighting systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), relays, contactors, circuit breakers (including VCB, MCCB, MCB, RCB, and RCBO), isolators, lightning arresters, earthing or grounding systems, motors, pumps, FDAS, & Door Access Controls is essential. It is crucial to recognize that having knowledge and experience with Annual Electrical Shutdown Activities (including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems), as well as PTW, MOS, HIRAC, & LOTO procedures, is considered
Having experience in overseeing the electrical systems and facilities of a shipyard, drydock, or critical environment is preferred.
Possessing expertise in Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives is an advantage.
Required outstanding proficiency in both spoken and written English

Skills:
Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes Philippine / USA.
Ability to manage multiple job sites and priorities.

Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follows safety rules, practices safe work habits, utilizes appropriate safety equipment, and reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

Insulation Resistance Testing (IR), Power Analyzer Recording, Grounding Testing, Transformer, Turns Ratio Test (TTR), Winding Resistance Test (WRT), Hi-Potential (HIPOT) Test, Power Factor Test (PFT), Relays Pick Up Test, & Thermal Scanning Inspection/Testing.
Knowledge in Generator Testing, Operation and Maintenance
Load Testing / Load Bank Testing, No-Load Testing, Troubleshooting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload
Ability to provide great customer service under stressful conditions
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures averaging from 60 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, humid, tropical environment with extreme weather condition, rain, wind, typhoons, humidity conditions.
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
