As a Software Engineering Intern, you'll become a key contributor where your skills and input make a big difference. In this role, you'll design embedded software and development tools that will be used to test products. You'll write code that tells chips how to operate in revolutionary new ways. And, you'll work closely with business partners and customers, as well as TI's marketing, systems and applications engineering teams, to collaborate and solve business problems. Ideally you are available for a 6 months internship.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Planning and executing a software project over the whole software development cycle
Designing and implementing embedded hardware and software based on TI microcontrollers
Developing multi-threaded RTOS based firmware with network capabilities
Enhancing and Integrating your solution with existing test automation frameworks
Documenting your work and presenting your results to stakeholder

Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
C programming skills
Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle
Knowledge of ARM based microcontroller / microprocessor programming and debugging
Basic experience in network protocol stacks (UDP, TCP/IP, Socket Programming…)
First Experience with Concurrent Programming (RTOS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in an English and German speaking work environment
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Basic knowledge of PCB design and electronic components
First experience with Ethernet based Industrial Fieldbus Protocols (IO-Link, PROFINET, EtherCAT…)
Familiarity with assembly language programming
First Experience with Build Tools (Makefiles, CMake …)
Experience with network analysis tools (Wireshark)
