We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for acting as an engineering consultant with Customers, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations. This position is accountable for the management of all New Product Implementations (NPI) and Engineering Changes (ECN) and provides assistance with Prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely completion of New Product Implementation (NPI), which includes

  • Creating accurate information: engineering drawings, machine programs, bills of materials, and routings.

  • Designing manufacturing fixtures and gauges to assist operations.

  • Providing oversight to first time runs to help streamline process for future orders.

  • Coordinating NPI activities to ensure a successful product launch.

  • Perform Engineering Change Notices (ECN) by updating engineering documentation and communicating the change to impacted parties.

  • Assist in Prototype by providing machine programs and communicating needed material.

  • Be a customer focused MPE-Racine representative and key point of contact for Engineering related inquiries.

  • Provide recommendations for design changes to customer for better manufacturability.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in operations to minimize bottlenecks and “time wastes” on existing jobs to improve lead-time and quality.

  • Address production quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Evaluate production estimated rates as needed and communicate with operations and project engineering


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors or associates in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent experience is preferred

    Experience and Training:

  • One or more years of experience in manufacturing processes

  • Fluent in CAD software and must have a complete understanding of product structure, including bill of materials and manufacturing routings

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
