Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key financial processes and ensure accurate reporting in a dynamic environment. Based in Studio City, California, this is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting operations and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate and support financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure proper classification and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor financial processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and provide financial insights.
• Train and mentor entry level accounting staff to build a high-performing team.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting management or similar roles.
• Strong expertise in month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance.
• Proficiency in managing financial statement audits and preparing required documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in SAP (preferably S/4 Hana)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
