Federal Signal Buyer in Stuart, Florida
Key Responsibilities:
Create, review, and issue purchase orders based on production needs, reorder points, and sales requirements
Confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers
Review order acknowledgements and update purchase orders as needed
Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite material when required
Maintain and update supplier pricing, price lists, and standard costs in the system
Receive and verify purchase orders for accuracy against quotes and orders
Communicate order status, delays, or discrepancies to internal stakeholders
Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive pricing for materials and services
Coordinate returns for incorrect, unused, or excess material and track return documentation
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Support continuous improvement efforts within the purchasing function
Perform other related duties as assigned
Maintaining supply chain credit card statement and receipt reconciliation
Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Degree in business preferred.
At least three years in a position with purchasing responsibilities
Experience working with ERP systems preferred
