Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong maintenance skills, with a focus on electrical and multi-craft systems. This role involves maintaining and repairing industrial machinery to ensure the smooth operation of our high-purity fused quartz and ceramic materials manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company health and safety rules.

  • Follow work instructions and preventative maintenance plans, and enter job completion data.

  • Interface with the SAP maintenance management system.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop preventative maintenance programs.

  • Collaborate with others to resolve complex problems.

  • Consult with outside vendors and contractors.

  • Safely operate maintenance equipment such as lathes, presses, and saws.

  • Operate forklifts, articulating lifts, and scissor lifts; perform work from ladders and scaffolds.

  • Possess working knowledge of NFPA70e requirements.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot load interrupting switches, distribution transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.

  • Familiarize with LOTO of Power Circuits.

  • Apply preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Utilize infrared testing, vibration analysis, oil analysis, motor circuit analysis, and ultrasound testing.

  • Interpret electrical and instrument loop diagrams.

  • Use diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.

  • Maintain plant facilities equipment including lighting, air compressors, cooling towers, fire systems, HVAC, cranes, and lifting devices.

  • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment breakdowns.

  • Ensure maintenance procedures and work quality comply with company standards.

  • Understand combustion and induction heating systems.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Journeyman Electrician certification.

  • Experience in maintenance and manufacturing environments.

  • Proficiency in PLC, 480-volt systems, schematics, HVAC maintenance, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to rebuild pumps and run electrical systems, including bending conduit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.

  • 5 years of previous maintenance experience in electrical trades or a multi-craft program.

  • Ability to pass an applicable job-related aptitude test.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, and flexible scheduling.

  • Strong communication skills across various mediums.

  • Self-motivated with strong partnerships with production personnel.

  • Preferred: 2-year technical degree or completion of an Apprenticeship Program.

  • Previous experience with maintenance management systems such as SAP.

  • Experience in an industrial environment.

  • Working knowledge of industrial plant power distribution equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $83200.00/yr.
