Job Description
The Lead Warehouse Worker supports the team lead on the 3rd shift by coordinating daily warehouse activities, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized distribution center. This role combines hands-on picking and packing with leadership responsibilities to keep operations running smoothly overnight.
Responsibilities
Act as the backup team lead for the team lead on the 3rd shift, supporting coordination of workflow and daily tasks.
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
Operate a stand-up forklift to move, load, and unload materials as needed, following all safety guidelines.
Work with valves, gears, bearings, and related components, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace throughout the shift.
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of required safety footwear and adherence to warehouse safety standards.
Support inventory-related tasks such as organizing stock, staging orders, and assisting with inventory control activities.
Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet productivity, quality, and accuracy goals on the 3rd shift.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
Demonstrated experience with picking and packing in a distribution or warehouse environment.
Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate a stand-up forklift.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and packing.
Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required steel toe or composite safety shoes.
Capability to work independently and as part of a team on an overnight shift.
Basic understanding of warehouse inventory, production, picking, and packaging processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous stand-up forklift experience is preferred.
Experience working with valves, gears, bearings, or similar industrial components is beneficial.
Comfort working in a structured, organized distribution center environment.
Willingness to support team leadership responsibilities on the 3rd shift.

Work Environment
This role is based in a very organized, temperature-controlled distribution center on the 3rd shift from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The warehouse is clean and well maintained, with a focus on safety and efficient workflow. You will work around valves, gears, bearings, and related components and may use a stand-up forklift and standard warehouse equipment. Steel toe or composite safety shoes are required as part of the dress code while on the warehouse floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
