We are seeking an individual to remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, and other imperfections from fabricated metal parts to ensure they meet required specifications and finish standards. This role plays a critical part in producing safe, high-quality components for customers in industries such as industrial equipment, construction, automotive, and custom fabrication. There are openings on both first and third shifts.
Job Duties:
- Perform de-parting operations using grinders, sanders, hand tools, and deburring machines and manual or automated deburring tools
- Inspect raw and finished parts to identify burrs, rough edges, and surface defects
- Collaborate with laser operators, machinists, welders, and quality inspectors to resolve finishing issues
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, and shop travelers to confirm material, tolerances, and finishing requirements
- Occasionally use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part accuracy
- Ensure all edges, holes, and cut features are properly finished according to customer specifications
- Operate angle grinders, orbital sanders, and dynafiles
- Assist with part handling, staging, and packaging to avoid damage post-finishing
- Maintain clean and organized work area, follow all safety procedures, and PPE requirements
- Document completed work and report deviations or nonconforming materials

Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, machine shop, or similar industrial environment preferred
- The ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings is a bonus
- Must be proficient with hand tools and finishing equipment
- Must be able to pay strong attention to detail and maintain consistent quality
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and be extremely safety-conscious
- Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift, while frequently bending, stooping, and twisting to handle materials
- Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all safety procedures, and PPE requirements
