Lockheed Martin Press Operator - 2nd Shift in Stratford, Connecticut

THE WORK
- Follow prescribed procedures and written or oral instructions to produce composite rotor blades and spars
- Setup and operate forming and molding presses to hot form, bond and cure spars and blades.
- Clean and lubricate die cavities and check presses for proper operation. Ensure all FOD is removed from die cavities, prior to start.
- Locate and mark reference points on tubes.
- Set controls and check times for cycle and temperature, as per applicable part work instructions and/or specification.
- Check instruments, fill out operation sheets and records such information as: temperature, time, meter settings, etc, as required by product work instructions and/or specifications.
- May operate more than one press as directed or as work schedules permit.
- Move spars and blades as required and perform other related work as directed.
- Refer all questionable conditions to higher-grade operators, working leader or supervision.
- Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety; contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator-required upkeep; segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

You are responsible for the set up and operation a variety of molding presses. You will function to perform laminating and cure/bond operations on tail blade and composite material assemblies on all models

Basic Qualifications:
- Require H.S. diploma and/or equivalent education combined with career experience.
- Experience with the operation of presses, hot forming molds and die cavities
- Experience with calibrated measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicator, temperature gages.
- Require a minimum of 1 years pf professional career experience.
Desired Skills:
- Able to read and interpret charts, temperature, pressure and time control indicators.
- Requires ability to work with decimals and fractions.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and 3D Models
- Ability to work in a high paced atmosphere
- Ability to work alone and in team environment, with assistance from cross-functional support groups

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
