CNC Mill Machinist - 3rd Shift - Pay up to $38/hr - Direct Hire
Job Description:
Set up and operate conventional and special‑purpose machining equipment to manufacture metallic parts efficiently and accurately.
You will be trained for 3-6 months on the first shift and then transition to a night shift, Monday through Thursday from 7:30pm to 6:00am, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.
Apply strong knowledge of machine shop practices, shop math, material machinability, and layout techniques to ensure consistent quality.
Measure, mark, and scribe workpieces to establish precise machining reference points.
Select, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and materials on equipment including saws, mills, grinders, drills, and burning machines.
Calculate and adjust machining parameters such as speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
Run trial setups and monitor production to ensure parts meet specification, making real‑time adjustments as needed.
Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools including micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
Work cross‑functionally with engineering and production teams to resolve machining or assembly challenges.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and communicate repair needs.
Ensure smooth shift handoffs by clearly documenting work completed, issues encountered, and next‑step priorities.
Essential Skills:
Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on manufacturing experience, preferably in CNC machining.
Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions with minimal supervision.
Solid understanding of blueprint reading, specifically related to machining diameters (ID & OD), surfaces, and basic geometric shapes.
Demonstrated capability to machine parts to specified tolerances and verify accuracy using standard measuring tools, including micrometers and depth micrometers.
Physically capable of routinely lifting 50 lbs or more as part of daily responsibilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to edit CNC programs and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to work in confined or narrow spaces and perform tasks requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, and kneeling.
Prior experience machining stainless steel and tool steel alloys is strongly preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $76960.00/yr.
Time Off & Holidays
Vacation: 10 days (80 hours) for the 2026 calendar year, available after 30 days of employment Paid Time Off (PTO): 8 hours accrued at the beginning of the month following each calendar quarter, per company handbook Holidays: 10 paid holidays annually
