DOCS EQUIPMENT REPAIR LLC Mobile Equipment Mechanic in STOUGHTON, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Are you mechanically inclined? Are you currently working in the forklift repair field or automotive/diesel/agriculture mechanic field ? I\'m looking to add a full time technician to my small business. The ideal candidate would be currently employed in the forklift repair field, but those with mechanical experience that may be interested in this line of work are encouraged to contact me. Candidate would be dispatched from their home and travel throughout Dane and surrounding counties. All travel time is paid. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, lubrication) and emergency repairs on forklift engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering. Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and hydraulic components. Preventive Care: Conduct safety inspections, identify worn parts, and perform repairs to ensure OSHA compliance. Specialized Work: Weld or solder broken parts and replace hydraulic cylinders or mast components. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed, often using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Parts Management: Order, track, and replace broken or defective parts. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems (IC and electric), and diesel/LP engines. Tools: Proficient in using hand tools, hoists, and diagnostic equipment. Certification/License: Valid driver\'s license with good record is required Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50100 pounds and work in various positions. Experience: Usually requires a high school diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience, preferably with material handling equipment. Work Environment Forklift mechanics work in warehouse environments or as field service technicians traveling to client sites in service vans.
