Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Test Planning & Protocol Development Develop detailed test protocols for product qualification, verification, and validation activities. Define test methods, acceptance criteria, and required sample sizes based on engineering specifications and customer requirements. Identify appropriate equipment and fixtures required to complete testing. Electrical Testing Hi-pot / dielectric withstand testing Insulation resistance Contact resistance (low-level milliohm testing) Continuity and functional verification LCR measurement Mechanical & Environmental Testing Tensile and compression testing (e.g., Chatillon test stands) Crimp pull testing Flex and bend cycle testing Mating/unmating durability testing Thermal cycling High temperature and humidity exposure Accelerated aging Autoclave Data Analysis & Documentation Record and analyze test data using Excel and other analysis tools. Prepare clear and accurate test reports documenting procedures, results, and conclusions. Maintain organized records within ERP or document control systems to ensure audit readiness. Laboratory & Equipment Support Maintain equipment calibration schedules and records. Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing test equipment. Support design and fabrication of custom electrical and mechanical test fixtures. Generate purchase requisitions for lab components and consumables. Skills/Qualifications Needed: Bachelor\'s or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in a test lab environment as a Test Engineer or Test Technician. Experience using environmental chambers, compression/tension test stands, hi-pot test equipment, function generators, LCR meters, flex testers and other common test equipment found in an electrical cable assembly test laboratory. Solid understanding of electronic and electrical components. Strong computer skills including MS products, and knowledge of LabView is a plus. Ability to operate discreet wire processing equipment, metal working machinery and hand tools. General understanding of plastics, rubbers, insulating materials, fasteners and application of high voltage components.
