Description We are looking for a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join a family law practice on a part-time Contract basis in Stoughton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute to the success of attorneys and clients by providing essential legal support, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and facilitating case management. This opportunity is perfect for legal professionals who excel in dynamic environments and possess expertise in family law.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, declarations, and discovery requests related to family law cases.
• Support trial and hearing preparation by organizing exhibits, maintaining case files, and ensuring all materials are ready.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates, explain case progress, and gather necessary documentation.
• Conduct legal research and assist attorneys in developing case strategies.
• Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and oversee case progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Uphold strict confidentiality while delivering exceptional service to clients.
• Utilize family law software and document management systems to streamline case handling. Requirements • Extensive experience as a Family Law Paralegal, with strong knowledge of legal processes.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and providing litigation support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Familiarity with case management software and tools.
• Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is required.
• Knowledge of discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation techniques.
