Senior Postdoctoral Associate

Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)

● Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Physics, Computer Science, Computational Neuroscience, or a closely related field.

● Minimum three years of research experience in computational modeling of brain circuits.

● Demonstrated expertise in the Neuroblox computational neuroscience platform, including direct knowledge of its Julia-based modeling environment, software architecture, domain-specific modules, and underlying computational infrastructure.

● Prior hands-on experience contributing to the development or implementation of the Neuroblox modeling framework, including mechanistic modeling of neural circuits and/or pharmacological modulation of brain systems within the platform.

● Demonstrated track record in neurobiologically mechanistic modeling (i.e., models should incorporate known neurobiology and neurophysiology, rather than relying on black-box machine learning approaches).

● Demonstrated track record in multiscale modeling, including the building of neurobiological models with drug-relevant targets and clinically relevant outcomes.

● Track record (GitHub) demonstrating proficiency in the Julia programming language.

● Experience with CNS pharmacology and receptor-level pharmacodynamic modeling integrated within multiscale circuit frameworks.

● Prior contribution to peer-reviewed publications and/or open-source software releases in computational neuroscience.

● Familiarity with scientific software development best practices, including version control (Git), automated testing, and documentation for open-source research software.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience with neuroimaging data modalities (e.g., EEG, fMRI) and familiarity with how empirical neural data can inform or validate computational circuit models.

● Experience mentoring or supervising graduate or undergraduate students in a research laboratory setting.

● Demonstrated track record of using AI to automate/accelerate scientific workflows.

Brief Description of Duties:
