Position: Electrical Technician
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you'll help deliver innovative, high-quality automation solutions that embody Labman's mission to enable science through technology.
As an Electrical Technician, you'll be a key part of the build team, responsible for turning electrical drawings into high-quality, real-world systems. Your work will ensure our robots are wired neatly, safely, and accurately, directly contributing to the performance and reliability of our automation solutions.
What You'll Do
Interpret and wire from electrical drawings to a high standard
Complete control panel wiring, including loomed, labelled, and terminated cables
Neatly route and label electrical cables and pneumatic lines
Wire peripheral hardware in line with electrical schematics
Ensure physical wiring accurately reflects the approved drawing pack
Communicate progress, issues, and requirements with project leaders and senior staff
Provide input into the design of electrical control systems for bespoke robotic solutions
Participate in the full lifecycle of engineering projects, including installation and commissioning (potential worldwide travel)
Support testing, fault-finding, and continuous improvement during build and integration
What You'll Need
Essential:
Minimum of Level 3 qualification in an Electrical discipline
2+ years' relevant industry experience
Ability to interpret and follow electrical wiring diagrams
Practical fault-finding skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and task prioritisation
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Desirable
Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
Ability to understand and interpret component datasheets
Basic soldering and prototyping skills
Experience with SEE Electrical or similar electrical drawing packages
