Nightwing Analytics & AI Solutions Analyst (Junior) in Sterling, Virginia

If you’re early in your analytics career and enjoy working with data, learning new tools, and experimenting with AI, this role is a great opportunity to grow. You’ll support our analytics and automation work across Nightwing by helping build dashboards, assisting with data pipelines, and contributing to AI‑enabled workflows. You’ll work closely with more experienced data engineers and analysts who will guide you as you learn.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of AI‑powered components using tools like Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or other AI platforms
Help create simple AI‑assisted workflows for tasks such as document processing, summarization, or classification
Assist in connecting data sources, APIs, and workflow components under the guidance of senior team members
Build and update dashboards and reports using Power BI
Help maintain workflow automations using tools such as n8n, Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar
Support ETL/ELT processes with tools like Azure Data Factory, Airbyte, or dbt.
Perform basic data validation, troubleshooting, and documentation for dashboards, pipelines, and AI workflows
Stay curious about new AI features and tools and share ideas on how we might improve our processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
Exposure to analytics, data, or IT work — internships, class projects, or 1–2 years of professional experience are welcome
Basic familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools (even if just academic or entry‑level experience)
Interest or early experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airbyte, or dbt
Curiosity about workflow automation tools (n8n, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Make.com)
Understanding of SQL fundamentals and APIs is helpful
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with both technical and non‑technical teammates
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Exposure to Python or JavaScript, at a beginner level
Familiarity with tools like Airflow or Prefect
Curiosity about vector databases, embeddings, or semantic search technologies
Interest in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
