CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Machine Operator candidates in the Sterling, MA area. Responsibilities: \ Perform changeovers and completes changeover setup form. \ Arranges assistance for changeover. \ Responsible for the cleaning of blenders and other equipment for material changes. \ Pre-blend and oversee the blending or mixing of resins in off-line as well as online. \ Completes paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet. \ Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork or entered into MRP system. \ Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, venting, portable winders, etc.) and test functionality to assure proper set-up and operation. \ Watches for and reacts to stack light alerts. \ Supports and complies with safety and environmental guidelines. \ Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain required product quality and/or as identified by Packer/Inspector. \ Implements Berry incident protocol for medical assistance and applies first aid if trained. Desired Background/Skills: \ MUST be able to read and understand English; prefer someone with experience operating extruder machines. \ Candidate can speak English as a 2nd language, but MUST be able to read and communicate in English Other Information: \ Works a 12-hour day, 3 and 4 days a week (84 hours every two weeks); weekend work is mandatory.
