Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - $18-$20/HR
Job Description
- This role involves assisting in the assembly of various sized control panels by participating in a station-based process, including preparation, layout, and wiring
Job Responsibilities
Electrically assemble, wire, and route components according to work orders and build instructions
Use hand tools and cordless power tools to complete electrical and mechanical assemblies
Perform point-to-point wiring, terminations, crimping, and basic electrical connections
Read, understand, and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and build documentation
Verify proper wire routing, labeling, and connections per specifications
Perform basic electrical checks to ensure assemblies are complete and functioning correctly
Maintain an organized workspace and properly store tools and materials
Communicate issues, missing parts, or discrepancies to supervisors or team leads
Follow all safety standards and company procedures during assembly operations
Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams as part of ongoing training
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential assembly or quality issues
Essential Skills
1-2+ years of electrical assembly/wiring experience
Ability to understand work orders and instructions, with a willingness to learn schematics
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including screwdriver sets, cordless power drills, hammers, tape measures, wrenches, ratchets, sockets, pliers, and utility knives

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
