Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - $18-$20/HR

Job Description

• This role involves assisting in the assembly of various sized control panels by participating in a station-based process, including preparation, layout, and wiring

Job Responsibilities

• Electrically assemble, wire, and route components according to work orders and build instructions

• Use hand tools and cordless power tools to complete electrical and mechanical assemblies

• Perform point-to-point wiring, terminations, crimping, and basic electrical connections

• Read, understand, and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and build documentation

• Verify proper wire routing, labeling, and connections per specifications

• Perform basic electrical checks to ensure assemblies are complete and functioning correctly

• Maintain an organized workspace and properly store tools and materials

• Communicate issues, missing parts, or discrepancies to supervisors or team leads

• Follow all safety standards and company procedures during assembly operations

• Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams as part of ongoing training

• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential assembly or quality issues

Essential Skills

• 1-2+ years of electrical assembly/wiring experience

• Ability to understand work orders and instructions, with a willingness to learn schematics

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including screwdriver sets, cordless power drills, hammers, tape measures, wrenches, ratchets, sockets, pliers, and utility knives

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
