Work hours: Part Time 7p-7a - Rotating Weekends and Holidays
Department Highlights
12 bed unit with 1 to 4 ratios. We are a Level IV Trauma Center that cares for emergent cases that provides quality care to the Stephenville, TX and surrounding areas. Chest pain certified and stroke certified.
Our team is like a family and works together like no other to provide compassionate care to our patients. Challenges - rural -sometimes you are busy/sometimes you arent' - working with traumas - no additional resources.
Rural ER - no other hospital so can handle a lot of different traumas/high acuity. - even pediatrics and geriatrics and all walks of life. Horse, farming, atv and drowning accidents.

As a designated Level IV Trauma Center, we offer a wide range of emergency services. The hospital has also been nationally recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, giving patients access to advances in technology and treatment. Our cardiovascular rehabilitation program focuses on treating cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases through education, prevention, rehabilitation, and disease management.

Here's what you need
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
1+ years as an RN or completion of an RN residency program required.
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS - within 90 days required
PALS - within 90 days required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
TNCC and ENPC - within 12 months of hire required
Current ED strongly preferred
Charge nurse and preceptor experience preferred
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
