Be the lead on the Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) program, as well as predictive testing and inspection maintenance (PT&I) tasks which seek to identify and mitigate maintenance issues before failure, using concepts and methodologies including condition-based monitoring/maintenance (CBM). Examples include vibration analysis, oil sampling, thermography, Infrared scanning, etc.
Work closely with Systems Engineers and craftsmen in various disciplines to ensure proper training and task execution, with the singular goal of achieving the longest life cycle and highest degree of reliability on complex systems; - at the lowest possible cost.
Support the site wide PM and PT&I programs through the application of RCM technologies such as vibration and oil/lubrication analysis, infrared and ultrasonic scanning, high speed camera analysis, and other NDT methods.
Analyze systems/equipment criticality, failure history, repair/maintenance costs, and other factors to determine the most efficient plan to minimize unplanned failures and maximize life cycle cost.
Support the condition-based monitoring/maintenance (CBM) program by managing and analyzing data collection methodologies, system/equipment requirements, cost factors, etc.
Work with other systems engineers to prioritize PM activities and CBM projects in such a manner that focuses on system/equipment criticality and redundancy, as well as potential failure modes.
Perform Root Cause Analysis to minimize redundant failures and identify the proper mitigation.
Manage and direct the Facility Condition Assessment (FC ) program to perform life-cycle analysis, identify assets with a potential for failure, and candidates for CBM.
Analyze equipment PM/CM history within the Maximo database to best project future maintenance requirements and perform cost vs. life cycle analysis, recommending upgrades and/or replacement with newer, more reliable or efficient equipment as necessary.
Manage and deliver RCM and PT&I training to maintenance teams and associate engineers to ensure a constant focus on best practices, while investigating new technologies in RCM.
