Requirements: No experienced required. ability to lift 50lbs.
Job description:
All job duties can occur only during the late spring, summer and fall months when cattle are present and the weather allows for these job duties. Move or relocate cattle. Identify and sort out sick or hurt cattle. Assist manager to doctor cattle. Weigh cattle. Load and ship cattle. Fence work/repair fence. Repair broken wire. Replace broken posts. Repair Gates . Ride a quad to check fence lines, check and move cattle, check irrigation. Basic quad maintenance. Use chainsaw to remove trees that fall on fence line. Use chainsaw for post repairs or trimming. Maintain chainsaw. Drive a tractor for harrowing fields and occasionally feeding hay. Occasional feeding with backhoe. Move supplies or material with backhoe and occasional ditch repair. Occasional post pounding, trail repair and clearing with skid steer.
Anticipated hours of work per week: 60 hours per week
Schedule: Mon t Saturday 10 hours a day 7am to 5pm
Anticipated period of employment: May 25, 2026 to Nov 28, 2026

** Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers. (NOT required to add for range positions)
