We are seeking a compassionate and skilledOccupational Therapist 3to join our team and deliver high-quality care to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Occupational Therapist license plus one year of experience as a licensed occupational therapist.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • The incumbent shall be responsible for multiple functions within multiple regional areas.

  • Develops and conducts workshops and presentations for regional professionals and providers.

  • Provides direct clinical services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and critical ADL related and adapted equipment needs significantly impacting nutritional/physical support needs and associated health outcomes.

Location: OCDD Resource Center / Rapides, Calcasieu, Lafayette, Acadia, St. Martin, Iberia, St. Landry

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment (temporary appointment that may last up to 48 months)

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience providing occupational therapy services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) in school system, group homes, provider agency, and/or developmental centers.

  • Other considerations in lieu of working with individuals with IDD would be experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting implementing complex durable medical equipment, environmental modifications, and adaptive technology

  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
