Are you passionate about supporting the Behavioral Health & Justice Involved Population and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Administrative Coordinator! to join the Staten Island Treatment Alternative for Safer Communities Program.
Wage: $20 per hour
Schedule: 9AM to 5PM, Monday- Friday
Location: 20 Stuyvesant Place in Staten Island NY
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director in coordinating program operations for the Staten Island TASC program.
What are the key responsibilities:
Assist Director and Supervisors in coordinating daily operations of the program and supervise office operations in their absence.
Answer, screen and direct phone calls and perform receptionist function at program office.
Handle petty cash and metro card disbursements and reconciliation.
Perform typing and general office duties.
Collect, review and input client admissions, rejections and pending cases into databases and assist Program Director and Supervisors in compiling monthly reports.
Oversee office supplies, maintain inventory and perform administrative duties as needed.
Oversee client intake schedule.
Oversee on and offsite storage files.
Assist the Case Management Unit with all aspects of case coordination and preparation for DOHMH monthly audit and maintain Audit Log.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
High School Diploma or educational equivalent required, college degree preferred.
Minimum of one year of work experience in either human services or alcohol/substance abuse programs required.
Must have a pleasant phone manner, good communication skills, both oral and written as well as the ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and court personnel.
Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
Minimum of two years of relevant office experience including general office, typing, data entry, and computer skills required.
