Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

The company designs and manufactures high-performance ultrasonic transducers and turnkey inspection systems, allowing industries such as battery manufacturing, composites, energy, aerospace, and medical therapy to analyze materials without damage. As a Manual Machinist, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining precision machinery to support these innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines with precision.

  • Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.

  • Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping materials.

  • Select appropriate machines for given tasks.

  • Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as needed.

  • Maintain inventory needed of completed products.

  • Check outputs for quality assurance and document discards/defects.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of relevant machining experience.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent mathematical skills.

  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings and blueprints.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of State College, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
