Location: State College, PA ? Shift: 7:00AM-4:30PM Monday thru Thursday, 7:00AM-3:30PM Every other Friday ? Duration: 6 Month Full-Time Contract (with potential to hire) What You'll Do: As an Assembly Technician your responsibilities will include: Contribute to the company's success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products. Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels Uses Microsoft Office programs Maintains neat and clean work area Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift Able to transport up to 30 lbs Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material Requires a High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Preferred: Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope. Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material Working knowledge of electronic Theory relating to RF transmission, receivers' circuits, analog and digital circuitry. The ability to troubleshoot RF/Digital circuits to the component level. Understanding and able to perform calibration of RF circuity and equipment calibration procedures.
