SpaceX Quality Inspector (Supply Chain) in Starbase, Texas

QUALITY INSPECTOR (SUPPLY CHAIN)
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for executing a wide variety of inspections, nonconformance documentation, and the resolution of Starship products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and profilometer
Approve or reject items and document inspection results as required
Perform documentation review and verification of certifications, specifications, and conformance to design requirements through eCerts or physical copies
Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve inspection discrepancies
Complete surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace parts
Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance with company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Inspect flight hardware at the supplier according to engineering drawings, purchase order(s), industry standards, and SpaceX specifications
Use electronic MRP system to route parts and components to proper departments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
1+ years of receiving, precision, mechanical, or metrological inspection experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience operating a forklift or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment
Experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields
Experience detecting design and drawing flaws
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y14.5
Experience with GD&T and use of metrology tools and gauges
Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed
Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
Must be able to work under adverse conditions (e.g., dirty, noisy, or confined spaces)
