Aerotek Quality Technician in Stanton, Tennessee
Aerotek is hiring Quality Technicians for an automotive company located in Stanton, TN. These positions are contract roles through December 2026 (could go longer) 1st shift: 6:30am-3:00pm. Paying $25-$30/hr depending on experience.

Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to measure product dimensions and tolerances accurately. You will conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined or manufactured parts, utilizing micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual inspections to detect defects and imperfections. Your role is crucial in ensuring machines and tools are properly calibrated and maintained for accuracy, performing functional and cosmetic inspections on assemblies and finished products. You will work within production lines, inspection stations, and use high vision inspections to spot imperfections, using gloves to identify burrs, and utilize cranes to move products. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineers, machinists, and suppliers to resolve any issues.
Responsibilities
Set up, run, and monitor CMMs to measure product dimensions accurately.
Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts.
Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual inspections to detect defects.
Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated for accuracy.
Perform functional and cosmetic inspections on assemblies and finished products.
Work within production lines, inspection stations, and use high vision inspections.
Utilize cranes to move products and lift panels by hand for smaller items.
Record inspection results, maintain records, and report non-conformance.
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and suppliers to resolve issues.
Essential Skills
3+ years experience in manufacturing quality or operations inspections.
Experience with handheld measurement instruments such as calipers, gauges, micrometers.
Strong visual inspection skills, including high vision and bright box testing.
Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Attention to detail to spot inconsistencies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in CMM operation.

Work Environment
This role operates within a new and highly clean manufacturing facility in the stamping department. The facility houses fully enclosed, highly automated press equipment. You will be involved in testing dies, running product trials, and modifying dies for quality specifications, requiring disassembly and reassembly of die sets.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
