Coffee Shop Manager

 

Bankers Brew in downtown Stanton is looking for a dedicated Coffee Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail café here at MMI. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who values exceptional customer service, thrives at building and motivating a team, and is committed to maintaining top-quality products. In this role, you'll oversee operations, foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and drive sales growth while keeping efficiency and cost control in mind.

Functions include, but not limited to:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of baristas and staff members. Ensure all employees provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, supply ordering, and scheduling shifts for staff.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the preparation and presentation of food and beverages to ensure consistency and quality. Train staff on coffee preparation techniques and product offerings.
  • Financial Management: Track daily sales and manage cash handling. Prepare and analyze reports on sales, inventory, and expenses. Ensure profitability while maintaining product quality.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards, are followed by the team. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Help develop and implement in-store promotions to drive customer engagement and increase sales.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory levels and place orders for supplies, equipment, and merchandise. Monitor stock levels to ensure efficient operation without overstocking.
  • Staff Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff members to enhance their skills and advance their careers within the company.

Travel may be required with some travel to other counties, including our main Office in Isabella county.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in coffee shop management or related field.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent customer service skills and a passion for coffee.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food and beverage settings. Must pass and maintain ServeSafe Certification if you not already certified.

Basic financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.

Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Professional demeanor and the ability to interact positively with the business community, management, staff, persons served, and other stakeholders

Computer literate

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Must possess a safe driving record, valid driver's license, minimum insurance coverages as defined by MMI, and have reliable transportation
