Duties: On farms, assembling and installing livestock feed equipment and remodeling livestock buildings. Assembling, remodel, repairing and/or installing floors, ceilings, curtains, gating, ceiling panels, feed tanks, water lines, feeders, and feed lines. Tin sheeting walls, install doors, and caulk structures. Job requires working around livestock and strong smell of manure. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds, walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, operate hand tools for extended periods of time. Work with strong smell of manure and periodically with livestock present. This job order contains job duties outside of the NY definitions of agriculture; therefore workers will be paid overtime at 40 hours in the work week.
Requirements:
- Must be able to carry 75 pounds for 75 yards.
- Must have 2 months of experience.
- Possible drug screening at employer expense.
- Exposure to extreme temps.
- Extensive pushing/pulling/sitting/walking.
- Frequent stooping/bending over/repetitive movements.
