Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, along with advanced Excel skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently, support key accounting functions, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Lead or support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key accounts
Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
Identify and resolve discrepancies, variances, and accounting issues
Support external audits and provide requested documentation
Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to support reporting and analysis
Assist with process improvements, system implementations, and ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience with month-end close and balance sheet/income statement analysis
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and large data set analysis
Experience with ERP/accounting systems
Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a mid-size or large company environment
CPA or CPA-track preferred
Experience with audit support, process improvement, or system conversions
