Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, along with advanced Excel skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently, support key accounting functions, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

  • Lead or support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Prepare financial statements and internal management reports

  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key accounts

  • Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, variances, and accounting issues

  • Support external audits and provide requested documentation

  • Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

  • Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to support reporting and analysis

  • Assist with process improvements, system implementations, and ad hoc projects as needed

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Experience with month-end close and balance sheet/income statement analysis

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and large data set analysis

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a mid-size or large company environment

  • CPA or CPA-track preferred

  • Experience with audit support, process improvement, or system conversions
