Citizens Analyst - Asset-Backed Securitization (PM) in Stamford, Connecticut
Description
Citizens Bank is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join the Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Portfolio Management team within the Capital Markets division. This role supports the Asset Backed Finance (ABF) group, which is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and managing loan commitments backed by portfolios of consumer and commercial non-mortgage assets. The Analyst will play a key role in managing existing transactions, supporting deal execution, and ensuring ongoing compliance and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Management & Execution Support
Assist in the approval and closing process for ABS transactions, including building work packages in SalesFLO and coordinating internal approvals
Serve as liaison between Originations, Closing, Servicing, and Operations teams.
Collect and process KYC documentation and set up new client profiles in internal systems
Generate expected returns using profitability models
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
Track monthly servicer reports; follow up on late submissions, discrepancies, and administrative issues
Verify covenant calculations and manage borrower reporting and compliance requirements within internal tracking systems
Monitor facility utilization, draws and paydowns
Prepare monthly invoices; reconcile calculations and coordinate with clients
Contribute to SSFA worksheet completion
Maintain and regularly update a centralized spreadsheet tracking key terms and conditions for each Asset-Backed Securitization Loan (ABSL) transaction
Over time, assist in the preparation of the quarterly business reviews, annual reviews and other ad hoc projects for the ABS team
Documentation
Upload and organize documentation in internal file share systems; maintain complete and up-to-date credit files
Review and summarize legal documents related to ABS transactions
Support internal and external audits by gathering loan-level information
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Experience:
0–2 years of experience; exposure to non-mortgage asset-backed securitization is a plus
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; collaborative mindset
High attention to detail and strong organizational/time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with SalesForce, Precision Lender, and CRM/Dashboard is a plus
